Setting Up Poker Tracker 3 General Report as a Leak Finder
Setting Up Poker Tracker 3 General Report to Find Leaks
If you set it up correctly, Poker Tracker can be a great aid in helping you find leaks in your poker game. Out of the box, Poker Tracker is pretty bare bones in the stats it displays; this isn’t a failing–it’s an invitation to you to do what we are about to do: customize the reports in the way that best helps you do your own database analysis to plug your leaks.
The process of adding stats to the General Reports Tab is simple, but tedious. You can leave the Player Summary window alone; we will add our stats to the bottom “Player Statistics” window:
Click on the wrench icon to the right of the Poker Tracker “Player Statistics” box. Doing so will open a pop up box containing all of the available stats that you could add to this report. Poker Tracker organizes the stats alphabetically, but the system takes some getting used to For example, the stat for how often you make a continuation bet on the flop is listed under “C” for “C-Bet Flop,” when it could just as easily be listed under “F” for “Flop C-Bet.” If you’re like me, you’ll get the hang of the Poker Tracker alphabetizing system at the precise moment you finish adding stats.
The pop up box displays available stats on the left, and stats currently being displayed on the right.
All you have to do is find a stat in the left window and double click on it, and it will display in the right window. You can then use the up and down arrows to reposition the stats. If you want to remove a stat that from the display, you double click it in the right window.
This is the general reports page, and it is designed to gove you an overview of your game. So we will add several stats that collectively describe the basics for all parts of our game, and if we need to drill down into a situation, we’ll use the filtering function to find leaks that don’t show up in an overview. The idea here is to display all of the fundamental areas of your game, so that basic leaks jump out at you.
Here is a General Report list of stats that you should add in order to accomplish this leak finding goal (Note: if you navigated here from the “Prepare PT3 for your Database Analysis” Page, these are the stats to add to prepare for the session:

- Add PF 4 Bet
- Add C-Bet Flop
